The UAE hosted a mass wedding ceremony for 250 Palestinian couples at the Marine Club grounds on Gaza's seafront on Friday, November 6, 2026. The event, titled "Thawb Al Farah 3" (Wedding Dress of Joy 3), formed part of Operation Gallant Knight 3, the UAE's three-year humanitarian programme in Gaza.

Anwar Gargash, UAE Presidential Adviser, said the country's humanitarian commitment to Gaza remains "at the heart" of its giving. He described the support as a "noble legacy" that continues independently of news cycles or shifting global priorities. the UAE has delivered more than 136,000 tonnes of aid to Gaza over the past three years, valued at over $4.16 billion, representing nearly 46 per cent of all international aid reaching the territory.

As part of the same operation, the UAE supports 40 community kitchens producing more than 8 million meals annually, along with 27 bakeries with a combined annual capacity of 1.5 million bread bundles. The UAE has also set a target of delivering winter relief to one million people in Gaza in the coming months.

The mass wedding is the third edition of this programme, reflecting the UAE's effort to pair material aid with initiatives that help restore normal family life for Gazans. Such programmes form part of a broader UAE strategy to maintain its role as one of the largest international donors to Gaza's population in recent years.
