India's Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the schedule for its Class 10 and Class 12 board exams, which will begin on Tuesday, February 16, 2027, starting at 9am UAE time (10:30am IST). According to the board, Class 10 students will sit exams in 83 subjects, while Class 12 students will be examined in 121 subjects. Khaleej Times reported that CBSE built adequate gaps into the timetable between subjects commonly taken together, and also factored in the tentative schedules of major university entrance exams when finalising the dates. The announcement matters to thousands of Indian families in the UAE whose children study under the CBSE curriculum, since the exam calendar shapes school terms and revision schedules across the academic year. The news also recalls the disruption of 2026, when CBSE cancelled exams for students in the Middle East because of regional tensions, using a special assessment scheme instead before later holding supplementary exams for the affected students. Results for West Asian countries — the UAE, Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia — covering 40 subjects were eventually declared on May 13. With the new dates now confirmed, Indian-curriculum schools across the UAE are expected to adjust their current academic calendars and revision timelines accordingly.
